Mr and Miss Warriors
The season opener of the immensely popular obstacle course racing series, the Toyota Warrior Race, took place outside Pretoria on Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12.
Jaryd Buchler (Mr Benoni 2016), Victoria Welthagen (Miss Benoni 2016) and Brad De Waal (Mr Benoni 2012) represented Dynamic Fitness and completed the gruelling main Black Ops elite event that covered a distance of roughly 18 kilometres and incorporated 32 obstacles.
The team completed the course in three hours and 20 minutes.
Welthagen placed 40th overall and finished as the fifth u-25 woman.
Buchler was 41st and completed the event in 36th place among the u-25 men.
De Waal was 39th overall and the 35th best man over the age of 25 years.
