Sieberts has been a police officer for 24 years.
He joined the Crystal Park Police Station in 1993 as a constable, after completing his training.
In 2015, he was promoted to a warrant officer, and he was also the sector manager for Chief Albert Luthuli Park.
Sieberts is looking forward to his new challenge.
He said his motto is to serve and protect the community.
“I will fully cooperate and perform my duties with openness as the spokesperson,” said Sieberts.
He also runs a soccer project for children under 10 and 13 years old; this is his way of keeping children off the street.
He said he will be working on more projects that will involve the community of Crystal Park.
