Have any idea how much money Benoni raised for the SPCA last year?

The festive season may be over, but your generosity doesn't have to be.

These people donated to the Benoni SPCA Cheer Fund during the last weeks of December, bringing the sum total to over R44 000:

• David Wright and Carlos (dog and cat food).

Fusion Fitness Xmas Drive.

• L Kruger (food).

• Amy Schreuder (food and newspaper).

• Chopper (R100) – Beloved lost soulmate.

• Harper family (R500) – In loving memory of Sheba, Lady, Muffin, Terri and Trixi.

• David and Elaine Wright (dog and cat food).

• Trent Selby (dog food) – For every dog this Christmas.

The final listing for this SPCA Cheer Fund, will be published in the second edition of the City Times for 2017.

There is also only one tour left for children and adults between the ages of six to 18 years old, who want to learn more about the SPCA.

The tour is at a fee of R150 per person and will take place on January 20.

SPCA manager,Vicky Finnemore said each person will receive a goodie-bag and an educational tour of the premises, at 3 Klein Street, Lakefield.

This money will be placed in the cheer fund which will be used to build a veterinary clinic on the premises.

All the participants will be photographed during each tour and published in the City Times.

Entry fees are payable to the SPCA, with the child’s name and surname, by the Wednesday prior to the Friday of the tour date.
