Sixteen hurt in N12 accident
Three people were left with major injuries and 13 others were moderately injured, when a taxi rolled on the N12 highway this afternoon (December 9).
ER24 spokesperson Kelly Burchell said the collision happened just after noon, close to the Putfontein off-ramp, when the taxi was travelling east.
Maponya 911 transported 12 passengers to Sunshine Hospital and Far East Rand Hospital.
ER24 transported four passengers to Sunshine Hospital.
Burchell added that, according to the driver, he heard one of his tyres burst and that’s how the vehicle rolled.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
