Junior structure ‘looking bright’

Actonville Spurs Cricket Club’s (ASCC) junior teams have had a more than respectable first half of the 2016/2017 season.

The club’s u-8 side has coped well with the pressure of playing in the u-8 A-Division while their u-10 B side lost only one game in the first half.

The u-12 A side has also only had one defeat in the first half with some excellent performances.

ASCC’s flagship team of the junior division, the u-14 A team, has performed brilliantly to date and are unbeaten right through the first half.

Such has been their progress that young players like Amit Patel, Leshego Nsthbaleng and Nabeel Teladia have been promoted from the u-14 age group to senior teams within the club and have done well with the chances given.

“The junior structure at Actonville is looking very bright,” said club public relations officer Zunaid Seedat.

“We would like to thank all the coaches, parents and our junior coordinators for helping out the junior division.”
