The incident occurred at around 10.30am yesterday (October 15).
“They blocked his path and ordered him to hand over his cellphone, after which the fight ensued and the complainant was stabbed four times,” said Capt Nomsa Sekele, Benoni SAPS spokesperson.
The robbers took the man’s bicycle, wrist watch and cellphone.
A case of armed robbery was opened at the Benoni Police Station.
