Afro Goes East tour hits Carnival City

Collaborating on stage for the event are Musa Sukwene, Robbie Malinga, Ringo Mandlingozi, the Jaziel Brothers and Amanda Black.

Afro music-lovers are promised an encompassing and exuberant show.

Having won South African Idols in 2013, Sukwene has not stopped shining and, at the announcement of this year’s top 10 idols contestants, he performed his brand new hit single, “Mthande”, from his album, Mr Serious, which recently reached gold status.

“Mthande” was created when Sukwene teamed up with the prolific music producer and singer, Malinga, who will also be performing as part of the Afro Goes East tour.

Malinga, who has produced for the likes of Zahara, Nhlanhla Nkiza and Nomfusi, is one not to be missed.

The Jaziel Brothers, Luthando and Ntobeko Ngcizel, originally from the Eastern Cape, grew up in Klerksdorp and now live in Johannesburg.

They made their mark on the South African music scene with the release of their debut album, The Beginning.

Their performance at Afro Goes East will be a combination of Afro, Soul, Pop, Gospel and Kwaito.

Tickets are available at Computicket.

Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
