Ghana, Botswana advance in Benoni

The 2016 International Cricket Council (ICC) u-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier Africa Division Two (50-over format) was held at Sahara Park Willowmoore from Saturday, September 10 to Monday, September, 19.

Seven development African teams competed in the tournament with the top two teams promoted to the Division One Qualifier to be held in 2017.

The participating teams in Benoni were Botswana, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Zambia.

The two teams who are promoted will have the opportunity to play for direct qualification to the 2018 ICC u-19 Cricket World Cup.

Ghana went unbeaten in their six matches to advance to the next division while Botswana finished in the runner-up position to advance to the next round of qualifiers.
