Giving back to the community
The Endeo Family Church’s Annual Free Church Bazaar drew between 2 500 and 3 000 people, recently.
“We had people queuing outside the school from 4am in the morning,” said Lien Joubert, coordinator of the event.
Held at Laerskool Northmead on August 27, about R200 000 worth of items were handed out on the day.
People received five tickets on a wristband, with each item redeemed being marked off the band.
Items included toiletries, groceries, boerewors rolls and cold drinks, to name a few.
“This is a great event, this is wonderful and orderly,” said Angela Moloi, one of the people who attended the event.
“The grounds are clean, there is no fighting and the people are taken care of.”
