Celtic Woman comes to SA

Carnival City will host the Irish all-women group, Celtic Woman Destiny, on September 18.

“We are so excited about being part the first leg of Celtic Woman’s world tour,” said Michelle Smith, marketing manager of Carnival City.

“This is a rare musical event not to be missed.”

When they take to the stage in Carnival City’s Big Top Arena, the group will perform traditional Irish songs, such as, “Bean Pháidín” and “Siúil A Run.”

Not only do the women appeal to the Irish and fans of Irish music, but they will also be performing favourites known to all, such as “Amazing Grace” and “You Raise Me Up.”

After performing at Carnival City, Celtic Women will visit China and South Korea.

Celtic Woman first captured the attention of America in a concert now described as a cultural phenomenon, a decade ago.

Since then, they have travelled to Australia, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Japan and Brazil, to perform.
