Motorcyclist seriously hurt in Northmead

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a collision in Northmead on August 26.

The accident happened on Webb Street, at about 5.30pm.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the motorcyclist, who is in his 20s, collided with a bakkie.

He said he victim was flung from his motorbike and landed in the middle of the road.

Meiring said the man sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.

The driver of the bakkie was not hurt.
