Attend commemoration parade at Reveille

A commemoration of the Battle of Delville Wood will be held in Benoni on July 17.

This year is the 100th year since the World War One battle, which started on July 15, 1916 and ended on September 3.

People are invited to the parade at the Reveille Shellhole, at 2 Moth Road.

The parade starts at 10.15am and the Last Post will be held at 11am.

Parade Sgt Maj Moth Trevor Thomas said a two minute silence will be observed and a flock of pigeons will be released into the air.

There will not be an entry fee.
