The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) , the Benoni SPCA and various businesses were represented at the event.
Shoppers could walk away with hampers or “goodie” bags and several discounts were available.
The day, organised by Ronel Haasbroek, initiated a month of discounted clinic services, including glucose tests, as well as iron level and blood pressure checks.
