Blame the contractors

Having sat in the office with the staff of Ekurhuleni on three separate occasions when they called the plumbers, and having heard how rude the people on the other end were with them and heard the promises made, I don’t so much think it is the staff of Ekurhuleni, but rather their contractors.

Lyn Walters writes by email:

Further to my letter printed recently, re my water leak, after five months I had people come out just a couple of days before the letter appeared and then, the day they came out, I had four phone calls from separate people asking if anyone had come out.

However, when I returned home on Thursday evening, I found a massive leak on the pavement, which I tried to report and there was just about no one and they were unable to capture pictures I had taken, so I agreed to email.

When I returned home I found I had no water at all, not even a trickle.

I phoned and got a reference number, but had the whole weekend without any water.
