Happy about good police service

Lorraine Hartman of Northmead writes:

On the night of May 23, our home was burgled.

I contacted the police at 6.45am on May 24, and WOs Keetse and Seoake arrived at 7.30am to take our statements.
They were kind and courteous, which we really appreciated, and they did their work very efficiently.
Later on that morning my husband was contacted by Const Vernon, who told him that Travis Taylor, Western Extension CPF chairperson, had called to say that some of our stolen property had been recovered and was awaiting collection at the Benoni Police Station.
Taylor had been contacted by the owner of the vacant property where the goods had been placed.
When we went to the police station we were again treated very well by the staff.
As a result of the prompt action taken, the culprit was identified and a day later the rest of our property was returned.
It is heartening to know that we can depend on public-spirited members of the community, our local police and the CPF in a time of need.
Thank you.
