UPDATE: 26-year-old woman allegedly stabbed to death
A case of murder has been opened at the Crystal Park SAPS after the body of an unknown woman was found at Chief Albert Luthuli informal settlement, close to Putfontein Road.
The 26-year-old woman was found on February 17, at 7am.
Police received a tip-off informing them about the body.
Crystal Park SAPS acting communications officer Tryna Maritz said it is alleged that the woman was stabbed to death.
“According to the paramedics, who were on scene, the body might have been there for about four hours,” said Maritz.
The Crystal Park SAPS is requesting members of the community, who may have information to help identify the woman, to contact the station on 011 968 9064.
Police are still investigating the case.
