Couple shot on N12 recovering in hospital
The couple shot on the N12 in Alberton on New Year’s Day is currently recovering in Union Hospital in Alberton.
Ludwig (48) and SuMari Pieterse (51) from Benoni were on their way home from a holiday in George when their car broke down near the Voortrekker Street off-ramp.

According to Ludwig’s daughter, LuCharl Pieterse from Richards Bay, her stepmother is currently in ICU. About 60cm of her intestine had to be removed yesterday. She is still in a lot of pain but is doing well.
She said her dad went into theatre on Saturday morning to have the wounds on his knee cleaned.
