School pupil robbed at gun point

A 16-year-old school pupil was robbed at 2.30pm on September 22, at the corner of Malva and Mohogany streets, Northmead.

Benoni SAPS spokesperson Lieut Nomsa Sekele said it is alleged that the girl was walking home from school, when she was approached by two men.

“One man pointed a gun at her and demanded a cellphone,” she added.

“The suspects then took off in a white Corsa.”

The victim was not injured and a case of robbery was opened at the Benoni Police Station.

No arrests have been made and police are still investigating.

It is unclear which school the girl attends.
