One step closer to beating cancer

The Willowmoore Interact Club, in conjunction with Marcelle Allison (Mrs SA finalist), hosted a successful "Cuppa for Cansa", raising a total of R40 000.

The event took place at Willowmoore High School, on September 12, with the Rotary Club of Benoni being represented and Daniella Snyman (cancer survivor) giving her testimony at the event.

Mrs SA 2014 and radio personality Faith Xoliswa Ndamse acted as master of ceremonies for the fund-raiser.

Sheryl Naidoo, coordinator of the club, said they aimed to secure sponsorships via businesses and individuals who would want to make a difference.

Cansa’s purpose is to lead the fight against cancer in South Africa,” Naidoo said.

“Its mission is to be the preferred non-profit organisation that enables research, educates the public and provides support to all people affected by cancer.”
