Variety of items on show at Woodworkers’ Fair

The East Rand Woodworkers' Association's annual fair was held at the Northfield Methodist Church, on Saturday, September 12.

The event saw many woodworkers showcasing their creations, which included clocks, bird feeding stations, guitars, knives, ornaments, cabinets and many more.

People from all over the East Rand came to shop and admire the variety of items.

Dennis White, East Rand Woodworkers’ Association chairman, said the organisation exists to cater for people with an interest in woodworking.

There are a total of 86 members, including cabinet makers, carpenters, DIY enthusiasts and carvers.

White said he was pleased with the turnout and would like more people to join the association.

Everyone is invited to join, no matter their age.

The association meets every third Wednesday of the month, in the Northfield Methodist Church hall, at 5.45pm for 6pm.
