Young and ready to inspire

Mandla Msibi is just 18 years old, but has already written three books.

The Daveyton resident is passionate about inspiring people through his words.

His three books are titled; ”Gist Saying”, a compilation of the speeches he has made; ”Consider This”, a compilation of reflective essays on different topics, and ”The Soul Doctrine on Happiness” which focuses on philosophy and psychology.

The former Wordsworth High School pupil’s love for writing started when he took part in public speaking.

“I had to write down what I wanted to say, and my aim was to always try to get people thinking,” said Mandla.

At first he kept his writing to himself, and that is why people are often surprised that he is a writer.

“I started writing regularly when I was in Grade 10,” he said.

Mandla is currently studying a BA Politics at the University of Johannesburg.

His favourite books include philosophical genres by Sun Tzu and Lao Tzu.

His goals include spreading his knowledge and books to a number of books shops and people’s homes.

“I hope that my books will be available to people who seek knowledge,” he said.

The young author has appeared on a television show called ”Identity”, where one of his books was reviewed.

At the moment, his books are not available on any platform, but he hopes, in the next few months, they will be made available on Kindle.

People interested in purchasing his books can email him at Msibis@gmail.com.
