Bonnets shine at car show
People from all over the East Rand came to show off their pride and joy at the East Rand Motor Show, on August 1.
The “show and shine” was held on the sports fields of the Hoërskool Brandwag, in Northmead.
This was the second annual East Rand Motor Show.
According to Cindy Joshua, event organiser, the show was held in Kempton Park last year, but was moved to the larger venue due to a marked growth in interest.
Joshua thanked all the sponsors, visitors, entrants and safety organisations, such as PHS Cops, Benoni CPF, ER24, EMPD and SAPS.
“A nice amount of animal food was collected and we are hoping next year it will be even bigger,” said Joshua.
Funds were also raised for the Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa (Choc), while SANBS received a favourable amount of donations from visitors.
