There are ways to save the Bunny Park

Heath Dickson, Sixth Benoni Scout Group leader, writes by email:

Concerned Benoni resident, there are ways to save the Bunny Park

Dear concerned Benoni resident,

Where were you on Sunday, July 26, 2015?

Had you been there you would have seen members from both the Sixth and First Benoni Scout groups.

Yes, we are already assisting where we can and are talking to the organisers about adopting a permanent project at the Bunny Park that we can maintain going forward.

I find it typical of the majority of citizens in this country to sit back and complain, yet they won’t get involved.

If only one per cent of Benoni residents arrived at the Bunny Park on a Sunday how much would be achieved.

Instead of sitting back and complaining as usual, get involved, make this a better town,

I keep reading articles in the media where there is denial about how many dead bunnies were removed from the park on the two Sundays past.

The first law that Scouts follow is, a Scout’s honour is to be trusted, and I can confirm that on Sunday, July 26, no fewer than 52 carcasses were removed from the park.

Stop denying the facts and let’s fix the problem.
