Music stars 2015 showcase talents

It is certainly no easy task for young, aspiring music stars to perform in front of a hall full of people.

But Duerell’s School of Music pupils were able to do just that.

On Saturday. May 30, Farrarmere Primary School turned into talent-filled space – for Music Stars 2015.

All the performers spent the previous five months practising for their appearances.

Parents, friends and family filled the hall to support their loved ones.

The judges included Claudia Cox (singer and songwriter), Terri-Leigh Tavares (South African 10 dance Latin, ballroom and reigning freestyle champion) and Sam Peo (singer, dancer, actress and Strictly Come Dancing judge for seasons six, seven and eight)

The winners of event are:

  • Cyann Viljoen won the vocalist category and was awarded a demo recording contract.
  • Ruald de Villiers won the keyboard category.
  • The guitar winner is Dante Grippaidi.
  • Jessica Bott won the violin category.
