Catch Ian Graupner’s talk on wellness with a difference

The East Rand Business Women (ERBW) will host Ian Graupner at their next monthly meeting, on June 10.

The meeting will be held at the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre from 10.15am, when Graupner, an electrical engineer by profession, will give a talk on how the spaces where we live, work and sleep can affect our daily lives, health and wellness.

He has always been fascinated by beautiful old buildings and the science behind why and where they were built – and the resultant splendour that is there for us to enjoy today.

Previously, scientists knew the relevance of where to place a building, but modern life is so fast that houses, schools and factories are built up fast, with no respect for the environment.

Graupner will show why it is important to identify places as being good or bad and how to overcome problems modern life has created.

Seats will cost R175 for ERBW members and R225 for guests, which includes lunch, tea and coffee. Graupner has also requested that a donation for the SPCA be brought along, to be handed over at a later stage.
