Jetski engines roar at Rynfield Dam
Rynfield Dam was, on Saturday, May 9, alive with the sounds of thundering Jetski engines, when the third round of the South African Jetsport Boating Association (SAJSBA) National Jetski Series came to Benoni.
Riders Jared Moore (2013 Pro Runabout Open World Champion), Heidi Leitch and Kyle Repsold represented Benoni on home waters.
Moore won the Pro Runabout Open, Enduro Stock and Enduro Open classes.
“SAJSBA was thrilled to host another national event at the East Rand Speedboat Club (ERSC),” said chairman Terry Moore.
“We had a fantastic turnout of riders and spectators, some extremely exciting racing and, thankfully, the winter weather cooperated, as it wasn’t too cold.
He added that the ERSC has always been the perfect venue for Jetski racing and he thanked the ERSC for all their assistance.
“Thank you to the two main sponsors of the day – LPS and TM Trucking Enterprises,” he said.
The chairman also thanked all the riders and everyone who supported the event.
