A hearty donation to Haven Care Centre

A mega-donation was made to the Haven Care Centre on Thursday, October 16.

The whole handover comprised of 50kg of beef, clothes and shoes, 30 loaves of bread, 28 stationery kits, pens and pencils, two-plate induction cookers, two boxes of brand new school text books, a scientific calculator, story books and exercise books.

The items were donated courtesy of the following stores in the K90 Centre, Bokburg: Hirsch’s, Meat World, Pens and Pencils and Snappy Chef.

Hirsch’s public relations officer, Brigitte Thysse, who coordinated the donation, said altogether the donations were worth roughly R15 000.

Forty-six unemployed and previously abused people are taken care of at the Haven Care Centre of which 28 are children.
