Delight in a traditional Portuguese-style festival

Following the success of the festival in 2013, A Festa Portuguesa will again deliver a cultural Portuguese extravaganza.

Fabulous food, business networking, tradition and fun is the recipe served up in presenting the many sides and personalities of the Mediterranean-hugging home of the Fado.

Event organiser Paula Fernandes said: “We want people to leave with a better understanding of our culture and to go home happy from an exceptional event, filled with rich variety and Portuguese authenticity.”

Guests are sure to be entertained by the best in traditional, contemporary, pop and dance music.

A number of talented local artists will be performing, including the massively successful trio, Mi Casa.

Add beer, wine, port and a general lust for life and this event is guaranteed to make even more fans out of locals.

Patrons can look forward to food and vendor markets, to fine dining and family experiences.

Entirely endorsed and supported by Dr Luisa Fragoso, the consul-general of Portugal in Johannesburg, this year’s extravaganza will once more break new ground, thanks to a line-up that will have Portuguese punters of all ages coming back each day, every day, over the five-day party.

With Heritage Day sandwiched in-between, this extramural add-on has meant even more Portuguese character and flavour for everyone to enjoy for longer.

Patrons are promised to be spoiled for choice.
