Third classic race for BHS
The Benoni Homing Society (BHS) basketed their birds for the 25th race of the season, this time from Hanover, about 660km away.
The Hanover Derby is a prestigious race for pigeon fanciers and was the third classic race of the season.
The birds were liberated at 7am on Saturday, August 30, and the first bird home was for Out of Africa Lofts, clocking in at 2.27.39pm at a velocity of 1 457.796mpm, with a margin of 38 seconds to the next bird.
