Nashua gives back to Benoni charities

The Nashua Children's Charity Foundation (NCCF) recently visited the Badanisile Home of Safety and Simamisa Orphan's Care, to assist them with much needed essentials.

The visit was part of NCCF’s initiative to assist various charity homes.

Simamisa Orphans Care looks after children between the ages of six months and 20 years, and was given a computer and groceries by NCCF.

Sonto Mabasa, who runs the care centre, expressed her gratitude for the grocery donation.

“The food really helps us, because we have 41 children who we look after,” she said.

The Badanisile Home of Safety was also fortunate to receive a grocery donation from NCCF, which they collected on June 7.

The foundation runs a sustainable living foundation that assists charities in need.

“NCCF visits the charities that appeal to them for help and assesses their individual needs,” said Chelsea Nortje, from the foundation.

“The foundation then tries to provide for those charities in a way that promotes sustainable living and improves the lives of the children they care for.”

NCCF provides food and groceries, entertainment and education, which includes school uniforms and educational equipment.
