Now you can ‘Looklocal’ nationally
Since last evening, visitors to the Looklocal website will have noticed an exciting change in the appearance of the site.
For those of you who haven’t, Looklocal has been transformed into a national, and partially international, news website on which the juiciest of each town’s stories can be viewed, still powered by Caxton Community Newspapers.
Along with searching for classifieds, which is one of the site’s main purposes, readers will be exposed to the latest news that will act as a portal to the town’s individual website, where the story can conveniently be read (for example if you’re browsing for a new car on looklocal and a story in Benoni tickles your interest, with the click of a button, you will be on the City Times’ website reading it).
Our title website (www.benonicitytimes.co.za) was introduced in September, last year, and readers can visit it directly and still have the opportunity to browse through a range of the latest community news. — so never fear if you are worried about not getting the low down on your own community news.
As a journalist, I enjoyed the interaction with the loyal readers who walked the path alongside us with Looklocal and hope to have even more fun with the Benoni City Times website.
