Stray bullet almost hits person

Two people narrowly missed being hit by a stray bullet which flew through a bedroom window on a Cloverdene property.

Two people were lying down, watching TV, as the bullet zoomed past their heads on Sunday, in Sixth Road.

Crystal Park SAPS media liaison officer Tryna Maritz said the bullet was apparently fired by either a home owner or members of a security company, who responded to a call in Seventh Road.

The home owner in Seventh Road called the security company as people were trying to gain entry into his home.

Shots were fired at the suspects, and these penetrated the window of the Sixth Road property.

A case of firing shots in a municipal area was opened at the Crystal Park SAPS.

No arrests were made and no injuries were reported.

The case is being investigated.
