Support Fit Fans’ blanket run
The Fit Fans Association will host a blanket run on June 7, to help those who need help to keep warm this winter.
The association consists of a group of social runners, with founder Sarah Haylock being from Benoni.
For every 20 blankets collected, the group will run 1km.
Their target is to collect 200 blankets and it’s their first time taking on this challenge.
Blankets to be donated can be dropped off at Rynfield Pre-Primary School, at 5 Hartshorne Street, until June 1.
Socks and gloves are also welcome.
The items will be handed over at two separate areas: at Project Feed the Children, in Daveyton, and Santa de Gio, in Yeoville.
The run will take place in Houghton from 7am till 9am.
