Lions Peace Poster time

Art teachers, art schools, youth group coordinators and school principals are invited to attend an information session on the 2014 Lions Peace Poster contest.

The meeting will take place on the Lakeside Mall boat deck, at 4pm on March 27.

The purpose of the session is to ascertain how the Lions can improve the contest.

“We have lots of ideas to improve the contest, such as providing incentives and prizes to the winning teachers, but we need your assistance in going forward,” a Lions press release read.

The Lions will not be contacting schools individually to enter the competition.

The international Lions Peace Poster Contest is promoted in local schools and youth groups.

The contest has encouraged children to express peace through their posters for over 25 years.

People interested in attending the information meeting must RSVP before March 24.

To book your seat at the information session, contact Beaulieu Maré, on 082 971 5472, or at beaulieu@eram.co.za, or Janis van der Heiden on 076 462 0303, or at pete.van@telkomsa.net.

If you would like to participate in the Peace Poster Contest and are unable to attend the session, contact the above-mentioned Lions members for a copy of the rules.
