St Dunstan’s Preparatory gets new head

Craig McIlrath has been selected as the new headmaster of St Dunstan's Preparatory School, as of January.

Prior to this role, he was deputy headmaster at Uplands Preparatory School and senior housemaster and head of department at St John’s College Preparatory School.

He was also the headmaster of Felixton Preparatory School, in KwaZulu-Natal.

He holds a BA degree (education and history), BEd Hons (educational management), and a MEd (cum laude).

McIlrath has a lot of experience as an academic head, in curriculum design, the coaching of sport and the general operation of a school.

As a practicing Christian, McIlrath will also add value to the spiritual life of the school.

Owen Thomas, the former head of St Dunstan’s Preparatory School, is currently the headmaster at Bishop Bavin Preparatory School, in Bedfordview.
