Caretaker principal appointed for Wordsworth pending the finalisation of investigations into Dr Annemarie Horn’s conduct
An administrator has been appointed by the Department of Education as caretaker principal for Wordsworth High School.
“He has been appointed pending the finalisation of investigations into Wordsworth High School principal Dr Annemarie Horn’s conduct,” said Gauteng Department of Education spokesperson Phumla Sekhonyane.
“The temporary appointment is to ensure the smooth running of the school.”
The Department of Education is still investigating the racial discrimination allegations made against Horn.
According to Sekhonyane the duration of Horn’s suspension is 90 days.
“We anticipate finalising the investigation before the end of January,” she added.
“The outcome of the investigation will determine the department’s action.”
