Benoni Muslim School excels again

The Benoni Muslim School achieved a 100 per cent pass rate, with an 82 per cent university exemption.

In 2012, the school won the Top Independent School award in the Ekurhuleni North District.

“We have sustained our performance in 2013, with excellent matric results,” said principal Nasser Ebrahim.

The top learner at the school is Zainab Motala, who achieved eight distinctions, in English, Afrikaans, Arabic, mathematics, accounting, life sciences, physical science and life orientation). Other learners who excelled are Zainab Loonat (five distinctions), Zaakira Ahmed Khan (five distinctions), Tasneem Ismail (five distinctions), and Waseem Yussuf Ebrahim (five distinctions). Nimat Fakir and Saheema Loonat achieved four distinctions each.

Ebrahim attributed the school’s success to their educators’ consistent and focused approach, their support classes and commitment.

“The learners themselves were highly motivated to achieve and have produced excellent results,” he said.

He added that Benoni Muslim School will continue striving to be a Top Independent School in the Ekurhuleni North District.
