Shellene Marshall Remember, it’s not illegal to use the highways without an e-tag. It is illegal not to pay within 7 days of receiving an invoice via registered post. Ie. if you actually receive one.
Lindy Webb This was sent to me by a friend I work for one of the largest car rental companies in SA. We have complied with e-toll and fitted all of our rental vehicles with the tags. This morning we have already had our first inquiry from Sanral with regards to a vehicle. The vehicle, which is a Hyundai i10 was stated to be higher than 4.3m when passing through one of the t-toll’s – upon looking into this we noticed that the vehicle had been written off four months ago and still not removed from their system as requested – Secondly the vehicle was on top of flat bed tow truck. Hahahaha They have officially gone live, yet they cannot even get a simple thing like de-registering a vehicle and then actually seeing in the picture this car is on a tow truck never mind written off. This is going to be interesting is all I can say.

I’m not forking out another cent to entertain the government, he just might think he can take the e toll money and make renovations to Nkandla.

So you do not have the right of an opinion to our situation in South Africa right now. So do not try and dictate a self righteous opinion. And if your profile is incorrect and you in fact live in Gauteng, then your opinion is still confusing…. Or perhaps you are part of the corrupt who are on the payroll of the corrupt. Who knows, but people can no longer stand by and be robbed of their salaries that are taxed, pay the high fuel prices, and continue to support a greedy corrupt and outrageous government while they fill their coffers, swimming pools, spaza shops and kraals. Too many people are going to suffer even more now due to this toll fee…. Already starving people will now die quicker. So your comment saying what people must do is invalid….. People must stand up for their rights and do their best to stop the corruption and disgusting embezzlement of their taxes for personal gain of the government officials and their fat well fed families. Everyt single thing you buy you are paying tax on it , a small toothbrush or one apple ,you are already paying tax so thats enough.
