Charity shop to reopen

Attendees can expect fun-filled activities for the whole family while enjoying another shopping experience full of bargains.

The Greater Benoni Child Welfare (GBCW) invites the public to the reopening of its charity shop on October 7 from 09:00 to 13:00.

The charity shop that sells quality second-hand goods at discounted prices is moving into a bigger space at the organisation’s premises on One Third Avenue, Northmead.

“We have started revamping the new store to bring our customers an entire in-store experience of amazing items on sale, such as clothing, toys, kitchenware, books, furniture and more. We can’t wait for the public to see our new store,” said Vanessa Carelse, the director of the GBCW.

The reopening will boast a variety of activities for the whole family.

Pancake and boerewors rolls made with love by the children of Colin House will be on sale on the day.

Bargain hunters are encouraged to make good use of the sale, and anyone with unwanted items in good condition is urged to donate them on the day.

“All the proceeds raised will go to the children at Colin House for pocket money for outings,” said Carelse.

Meanwhile, from October 7, the charity shop will operate from Mondays to Fridays from 09:00 to 16:00. On Saturday, 09:00 to 13:00.
