LETTER: Thank you to caring stranger

It brought tears to our eyes and just proved that although we have all these setbacks and hardships we have to endure in life with load-shedding and an increase in the cost of living, there are still people who care.

Julie and Herman van Niekerk write:

On April 15, we decided to attend to some business in town and spoil ourselves with breakfast at Wimpy at Rynfield Terrace.

We were surprised when we requested the bill to find out that it had already been paid by a mysterious person.

The waitress advised us that the person had already left and we were not able to thank them.

It brought tears to our eyes and just proved that although we have all these setbacks and hardships we have to endure in life with load-shedding and an increase in the cost of living, there are still people who care.

If the said person is reading this, please accept our gratitude from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for your gesture. It is appreciated.
