Farrarmere resident Zelda van den Bergh was selected as a semi-finalist for the Mrs South Africa beauty pageant. She received the news after the national casting event at Emperors Palace on February 3. She said she entered the event to be a voice for women suffering from depression. “I was elated at being chosen as a semi-finalist. It was a wonderful feeling knowing that I’m good enough. I entered to be an example to my daughters and to teach them that no matter your background, you are able."
