LETTER: Can we get the service we are paying for?
“We are paying for services that are not being rendered”
Resident and taxpayer from Benoni writes:
I am writing this letter and with a bit of luck the City of Ekurhuleni will do something to resolve the problem with regards to the lack of waste collection.
There has been no waste collection in the city for over a week and this has been an ongoing problem for months.
We used to have rubbish collected faithfully on our allocated day but this service has vanished and all we get are excuses regarding the metro’s lack of service.
Please do the jobs that we pay for and sort this out without further delay.
We cannot wait any longer, not to mention the health hazard and hardship the situation is creating.
How long are we supposed to be without one of the most basic services of any town?
Between Eskom and the CoE, it is surely a misery to be Benoni resident.
Our city was once a pretty and clean town, but this is no longer the case!
