Toy Run volunteers are ready to take your teddies

Bikers gearing up to receive toy collections

With only three weeks to go until the 40th annual Toy Run Gauteng, members of the Soldiers for Jesus (SFJ) Motorcycle Club are hard at work strengthening their arm muscles to receive all the toy donations.

Yes! SFJ members are hoping to collect a record-breaking amount of toys at the collection point which will be set up at the entrance of the Benoni Northerns Sports’ Club on November 27, from 09:30.

To date, the Toy Run has collected 885 940 toys over its 40-year existence with organisers hoping to beat the 2015 record of 55 000 toys.

Bikers and members of the public are invited to join in on the day’s festivities.

Bring a toy and browse the market or enjoy a nibble while cheering for your favourite contestant in the annual Miss Toy Run competition.

Whatever you do, do not miss this year’s event featuring Tryst and Backbone live on stage.
