The telephone line for the Benoni Police Station is still out of order, since a fault was reported to Telkom, in March.
Station commander Brigadier Thabo Mphuthi expressed her frustration at the situation, stating that the fault has cut the police station off from the community.
“We would like to apologise for the inconvenience,” she said.
“We are following up on the matter daily and hope that the service provider can resolve the problem as a matter of urgency.”
