Lions host successful book sale

With hundreds of titles and authors to choose from, the Benoni Lakes Lions’ book sale was a delight for bibliophiles.
It was held at Lakeside Mall on August 27.
From award-winning novels, biographies and children’s books, the Lions had something for every taste.
“Favourites among shoppers were definitely non-fiction books, which tells us that the community is passionate about enriching their knowledge base,” said Beaulieu Maré, past club president.
“Initial tallies indicate that we managed to raise well over R12 000 throughout the two day sale, which will be used to fund our ongoing community projects.”
The club is on the hunt for pre-loved Bibles and other religious and motivational reads to add to their extensive range.
