Northerns cricket to host senior trials

Benoni Northerns Cricket Club will host trials for its senior side on September 4, at the nets at Benoni Northerns Sports Club in Northmead.
The cricket season is set to start in October and clubs have been busy trying to beef up their teams to prepare for the Eastern Cricket League.
The club is looking for players to play for the women’s and men’s senior teams which play league matches on Saturdays and Sundays.

The women play 35 overs and T20 league matches and they are looking to strengthen the men’s premier league, premier reserves, directors, chairman and colts league teams.
The club is also looking to add to its pool of players that play for the first, third and legends over 35 years teams that play in 35 overs and T20 matches on Saturdays.
The club’s premier league side finished second in the league last season.
According to the club’s Dylan Coates, the try-outs are open to anyone who wants to join. They will start at 09:00.
