Phone lines to police station still out of order

Use alternative numbers to contact the SAPS

The Telkom landlines to the Benoni Police Station have been out of order since May, yet no turn-around time for repairs has been given.

According to Captain Nomsa Sekele, the matter has been reported to the service provider on numerous occasions, however, the matter has still not been addressed.

“We apologise to the community for the inconvenience and urge them to make use of our alternative numbers, until such time that the lines are operational,” she said

“In case of emergencies, residents must use the 10111 helpline or to share crime-related information contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111.”

Alternatively, the following numbers may be used:
• Detective commander, Colonel Ronald Mkhonza, on 082 771 6390,

• Vispol commander, Colonel Khumbulani Ndaba on 082 822 8078,

• Communications officer Captain Nomsa Sekele on 079 899 4009,

• Client Service Centre (CSC) on 065 740 2159.
