ERBW still plays a pivotal role in the East Rand
Besides it's networking meetings, the ERBW also donates sanitary pads, food and other necessities to needy communities.
Following its establishment in 2000, East Rand Business Women (ERBW) continues to strive to be the voice of businesses on the East Rand.
The organisation provides a platform for businesswomen to meet and network.
Karen Herbst, the chairperson of the organisation, said anyone who has an interest in attending the meetings is welcome.
Susan Noppe, who has been a member since the start of the forum, said the ERBW has been a great platform for her.
“When I was still in a managerial position at NBS, which later became Nedbank, the organisation assisted me in communicating and networking with various business people,” said Noppe.
Another member Berdean van Rensburgh said she and her business partner Aurielle Marincowitz joined the organisation so that they can network and promote their hair and beauty business.
“After just one meeting of the East Rand Business Women we met someone who has since been assisting us in finding solutions to some of our challenges in the business and positive results are showing,” said van Rensburgh.
ERBW also donates sanitary pads, food and other necessities to needy communities.
