Easterns starlet excels at nationals

She has scored 109 runs from 119 balls for the Easterns Tigers.

Bruzaan Goosen (10) played a starring role for the Eastern Gauteng Indoor Cricket u-10 team to win the most-valuable-player award at the national junior indoor cricket championships in Pretoria from March 28 to April 2.

With a batting average of 12.11, Bruzaan’s heroics resulted in her selection for the national team that will travel Down Under for the World Indoor Cricket Association World Cup next year.

Her father Bruce couldn’t contain his excitement about his daughter’s achievements.

“This is one of my finest moments as a parent. My son plays for the u-16 team and they won a silver medal. I have three other sons who have helped Bruzaan develop into the cricketer she is.”
