To ensure a safe and sufficient blood supply in the healthcare system, members of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) held a blood drive at Lakeside Mall on March 25.
Edwin Majoro of SANBS said they will run the blood drive until April 2 at Lakeside Mall as they aim to collect a certain percentage of units of blood per day because they are running short of blood.
Majoro appealed to eligible donors to make a difference by donating blood.
SANBS continues to follow the guidelines prescribed by the NICD and WHO to promote Covid-19 safe interactions at all its fixed and mobile donor sites.
Visit www.sanbs.org.za or contact 0800 11 9031 to find out where you can donate blood. You can follow them on Facebook/@theSANBS, @SANBS and Instagram @thesanbs.
